Established in June 1863, Edelrid began with strands and cords and has since grown into a global leader in climbing ropes, mountaineering gear, and work safety equipment. Our 160-year journey includes pioneering innovations like the kernmantle rope and the seat climbing harness, despite facing challenges such as major fires. Celebrating our anniversary, we've traced our history through archives and interviews, reaffirming our dedication to supplying top-quality gear for adventures and workplaces worldwide.
